Since Christmas we've lost so many legends. This year needs to stop! Posted by Gassman on Thursday, 04/21/2016 @ 13:45pm |
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by Nick on Thursday, 04/21/2016 @ 14:30pm |
There aren't a lot of ways that neither David Bowie or Merle Haggard are the biggest loss in music in a year, but this is sadly one of them. RIP to the artist that got me into funk-rock and then into the legendary funk of George Clinton and Bootsy Collins and countless others. He has changed my life so much. One of the greatest guitarists I've ever seen. RIPaisley, Prince. Posted by Paul in KY on Friday, 04/22/2016 @ 07:13am |
Has anyone else besides me notice that in most (if not all) stories headlining Prince's death leave out the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame' part. Just an observation, I guess for me. It did show that he was a RRHOFer in some articles. The point I'm making is this just shows how less serious the Rock Hall is taken seriously these days, especially with media. At least I hope that's the case. Posted by Jason Voigt on Saturday, 04/23/2016 @ 22:16pm |
Jason Voigt: Yet one clip that I've seen posted everywhere since his passing has been the 2004 induction ceremony jam with his amazing guitar solo to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Also most I've seen have had his induction somewhere in the article, just no in the headline or the beginning of the piece. Posted by Gassman on Sunday, 04/24/2016 @ 00:35am |
You're absolutely right, Gassman. I have seen several post that clip all over social media (I think that was 2004?). This brings me to a new theory: maybe the artists/bands that will give a great performance and sell tickets are the ones being inducted. It's no wonder we haven't seen the Spinners, or hell, even Chic get inducted yet possibly because of this. Posted by Jason Voigt on Sunday, 04/24/2016 @ 11:38am |
Just seen on TV, Jason. Never saw Prince live. Sure wish I had. Posted by Paul in KY on Monday, 04/25/2016 @ 08:04am |
Paul Stanley writes of Prince's hip replacement surgery pain, and not to be quick to judge treatment for pain. Sheila E. speaks of the pain Prince has been in since his 2010 hip replacement surgery. Doctors claim flu & Percocet can be a tricky combination. Posted by Roy on Monday, 04/25/2016 @ 22:02pm |
Why wasn't his band The Revolution also included in the induction? Posted by Joel on Monday, 06/6/2016 @ 15:35pm |
