This list contains artists
from across the popular music spectrum. The Rock Hall
claims to honor the "contributions of those who have had a
significant impact on the evolution, development and
perpetuation of rock and roll." Rock Hall of Famers such as
Michael
Jackson and
Miles Davis, don't
neatly fit into the "rock" genre, but their influences on
today's rock landscape are undeniable. Therefore, it would
be premature to dismiss any of today's artists because
their contributions may not become clear until we have the
luxury of hindsight.
