Dezmond, you still out there?

Just wanted you to know I listened to and added the Golden Age of Wireless to my library about 2 years ago. I can't thank you enough for the recommendation! It's a damned fine album, easily one of the best in the synthpop mold (or any genre, really). Reading up on Dolby's CV knocked me out of my shoes, what with all his sideman/songwriter/production/etc. credits collaborating with other musical figures and bands (not to mention, all his nonmusical ventures). Regarding The Golden Age of Wireless, I'm particularly fond of One of Our Submarines, Cloudburst At Shingle Street, Flying North (the vocal mixing and grand-sounding keyboards rival Midge Ure-Ultravox for spine-shivering emotionality), Airwaves, and Windpower. Come to think of it, there isn't a weak track on the album.

Anyone who dismisses Dolby on the basis of She Blinded Me With Science (admittedly a fine, quirky pop song) is doing a tremendous disservice.

Thomas Dolby's techo music is very unique. A genre highly underrated. Mist be considered and put in.
