TV Girl is an indie pop act with 23M monthly listeners on Spotify, three songs with over 1 billion streams, and one between 900M and 1B streams. They'll soon have four songs in the billion-stream club. They're insanely popular for an indie pop act. Even a lot of mainstream musicians don't have numbers like that.

I don't think they'll be part of the Rock Hall conversation, but the way some oldies talk about rock being dead in the 2000s and there being almost no 00s rock acts left that need to be inducted is insane and disgusting. Of course, rock isn't the most dominant form of music anymore, but there are still tons of indie rock (adjacent) acts that have pretty substantial followings and are very much alive!
