16 comments so far (post your own)Saw this band in Lexington. Approx 12,000 there to see them & Three Day's Grace & P.O.D. Played for over hour and a half. Wasn't very familiar with their catalog. Liked alot of their songs, once I heard them. Posted by Paul in KY on Monday, 02/18/2013 @ 07:51am |
I saw these guys a couple times yrs back when they were part of festivals and they were good performers. I get bored with their music after awhile. I like a couple of their songs but to me they are filed under 'butt-rock' and 'soccer-mom' bands. Not HOF-worthy in other words Posted by Jason Voigt on Monday, 02/18/2013 @ 09:09am |
Jason, you need to get over to the P.O.D. page & slag them too ;-) Posted by Paul in KY on Monday, 02/18/2013 @ 12:29pm |

Cheesecop, I like pretty much anything. I like everything from 50s R&B, 60s, 70s, 80s rock and some 90s. Some of the current/newer bands that I like are Arcade Fire, Beirut, Vampire Weekend, plus some of the more underground stuff as well. Posted by Jason Voigt on Tuesday, 02/19/2013 @ 14:01pm |

Jason, just joking around a bit with my comment. Want you to be truthful here. If you hate 3 Day Grace or dislike Shinedown, no problem with me. You (and I) like what we like. :-) Posted by Paul in KY on Thursday, 02/21/2013 @ 08:26am |
These guys stand a good chance of getting into the hall of fame. As of 2015, all their singles have gone top-5 on the Modern Rock charts. Posted by Mewtwo on Friday, 06/26/2015 @ 16:28pm |
The RIAA recently put out another platinum album for Shinedown. Posted by The Dude on Monday, 03/26/2018 @ 11:47am |

The band revealed that they attempted to find ways to still do the tour, but that the health concerns for all involved were simply too much for them to stage it at this time. I heard the news from Posted by Edwin Richardson on Sunday, 06/28/2020 @ 07:56am |
These comments are laughable in 2022! For anyone here in the way past saying shinedown wouldn't make it to the HOF you are rock illiterate! Shine down had done enough with 45 and simple man to join the rock HOF they are american icons! And with sound of madness, cut the cord, save me, monster and the whole attention attention album! They are legends in the rock game. They have been life changing for many of us! And their new album planet zero out. Shinedown is most certainly hall of fame worthy and bio pic film movie worthy! They are in the top 5 rock bands in the first two decades of the new millennium! Posted by Rick on Sunday, 05/15/2022 @ 04:11am |
I used to think not but Brent is an amazing singer and they get better and better. Along with Lifehouse and seether they all will get in Posted by Jesse on Wednesday, 01/25/2023 @ 11:02am |
First time I saw Shinedown was back in 2003, they opened for 3 Doors Down. They were AMAZING and left me disappointed in the main act. Brent Smith has a voice like no other out there today. If Shinedown was around in the 60's-70's they'd have been right up there with the Door's, Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, with that voice - think what their music would've been like. I'll be seeing them for the 4th time this spring and looking forward to it. Posted by Kristen on Thursday, 01/26/2023 @ 04:28am |
30 hits charted in the top 5 (by the way, that's EVERY SINGLE they've ever released) and 20M+ units sold Posted by Corey on Tuesday, 04/18/2023 @ 16:20pm |
Saw shinedown at a music fest. They headlined. Wasn't familiar with them. They blew me away. Great songs. Great energy. Brent Smith's voice is unique and powerful. I think the Rock Hall is a sham. That being said, they will put a disco act in before Shinedown. Who gives a shit? I'll never spend my money there. Posted by Detective on Monday, 10/23/2023 @ 22:59pm |
