Never realized how much I was in tune w/William, all those yrs. ago. Man knew some good stuff... Posted by Cheesecrop on Wednesday, 05/18/2016 @ 09:28am |
For some reason, this is one of those bands that I just can't seem to get into. I have seen them live three times (all of them as opening acts), and that didn't change anything. I do like their songs "No One Knows" and their followup, "Go With the Flow". But my personal taste doesn't matter. Josh Homme has many connections and it shouldn't be too much of a hassle for them to get in when its their time. Posted by Jason Voigt on Tuesday, 01/3/2017 @ 21:31pm |
QOTSA is one of those bands I’d love to see to them get in their first year, but that’s gonna happen eventually. Then again, Dave Grohl could make it happen, since he was one of the band’s drummers and partly put them on the map. Posted by The Dude on Friday, 08/3/2018 @ 00:24am |

Kyuss is a relatively niche band, but QoTSA made stoner rock more accessible to a mainstream audience. Sure, Kyuss is influential, but QoTSA brought stoner rock to the forefront. Posted by Liam on Monday, 06/15/2020 @ 12:40pm |
Sadly, QOTSA is also a niche band. They only got one radio staple with "No One Knows" on the active rock and alternative formats. The casual listeners - who came from the mainstream crowd - can't even name a handful of songs by them. The only QOTSA album that was certified gold by the RIAA was Songs for the Deaf. They're one of those bands I'd like too see them inducted at first year, but it's possible they could have to wait long as Deep Purple, the Zombies and T. Rex. I don't think Queens are super niche. They will probably get in by like 2034. Posted by David W Richman on Saturday, 02/20/2021 @ 12:51pm |
My condolences to Josh Homme and Queens of the Stone Age on the passing of Mark Lanegan. Posted by J.W. on Wednesday, 02/23/2022 @ 12:25pm |
