20 comments so far (post your own)I wish I can say he's HOF-worthy. But a lot of his classic/blues rock counterparts have still yet to get in. Great songs, never seen him live (yet). It still shocks me he's not in though despite the fact that a lot of people hum or sing his song 'Bad to the Bone' and a lot of media use it. Posted by Jason Voigt on Thursday, 09/5/2013 @ 16:03pm |
I just to start out buying telling everyone that I'm from George thorogoods home town wich is Wilmington Delaware, first of all some of the artist who are inducted into the hall of fame don't really deserve induction, on the account that are not consider to be rock and roll music, we also have other bands that have been out a number years, including George thorogood and the delaware destroyers, and they have to keep waiting year after year to be told that they're gonna see an induction cermony, now as we all know that these older recording artist are getting older, what they need to do is start inducting the ones that need to be inducuded, and take out the ones that don't need to be there before the older members of these rock groups pass away, because they deserve reconisted for there work as a malti platinum group instead of being told to wait another year Posted by floyd on Saturday, 02/21/2015 @ 21:31pm |
He is so much more deserving than many of the "rockers" in there. Madonna, Donna Summer...are you frigging kidding me? Posted by Fred on Tuesday, 04/7/2015 @ 15:27pm |
He is old school roots rock and roll. Hard working amazing guitar player and distinctive voice. I will personally be upset if such a hard working constantly touring fir his fans at age 67 if he never makes it. Please vote him in. Posted by John wyant on Saturday, 03/25/2017 @ 03:46am |
George Thorogood is what Rock n Roll is all about, he kicks ass, has a great distinctive voice and plays a guitar as well or better than anybody! Posted by John Chappell on Saturday, 09/30/2017 @ 17:48pm |

George should definitely be in the R&R Hall of Fame, his music endures and he has his own sound. Great player, singer, songwriter, and awesome band. Make it happen!! Posted by Lana on Sunday, 09/15/2019 @ 00:12am |

The rock and roll hall of fame has been trash for awhile now. Don't get me wrong, great artists have been inducted: Chuck Berry, Elvis, ACDC, the Stones, Aerosmith, etc. But Madonna isn't rock. Neither is Tupac. And I guess Radiohead is rock? But no George Thorogood, Priest, Motley Crue, Dio, Maiden, Suzi Quatro, Ted Nugent, Status Quo , Ozzy, etc. And we're supposed to take the rrhof seriously? I just saw George and Joan Jett play in VA, Joan Jett is inducted and George T isn't. From watching both performances, should be reversed Posted by Roger Stack on Thursday, 08/12/2021 @ 23:13pm |

100% deserves to be part of the elite performers of the good ol fashion, true to the very core of rock/blues. I vote YES, he should be inducted. Posted by Hertz on Friday, 01/14/2022 @ 19:26pm |
Really ,, bad to the bone ,, George Thurgood and the Delaware destroyers they deserve to be in the hall of fame. Eddie Money. Eddie Van Halen by himself. For changing the sound of the guitar in a unique customary fashion fashion an inventor. A visionary and a musician. No one other than Les Paul.. No one can collaborate on this for for they are not qualified. That's how unique the invention of the guitar is it is . can anybody even play the guitar like Eddie Van Halen anything is Eddie Van Halen for changing the sound of rock and roll. And adding to the invention of Les Paul. I do have a question for anyone who may be able to answer this question before The Beatles were there ever an arena or concerts in a stadium. The Beatles the Beethoven of our time. Is the 1st rock and roll band in the California Hollywood bowl. Is 1st rock band to ever play Albert hall. And really Dolly Parton rock and roll, It's becoming a joke. She is country through-and-through. She is not contributed to rock and roll at all. Having said that really Is Eminem really we've run out of People to nominate so we have to go to Eminem. Is groups like 10CC. 3 dog night. Is George Thorogood. Is Eddie Van Halen by himself. People have lost the focus of what rock and roll is what rock is.Hey you know I like Dolly Parton but she doesn't belong in the rock and roll Hall of fame. Why isn't he in already? I know the opening riff of Bad to the Bone has become a meme in the past year or so, but even before that it was an iconic song. We need to make this happen already, poor George and the Boys have been waiting for FAR too long. And how is it that Eminem, Madonna, etc are in the HOF but George and the Boys aren't? I mean, Eminem and Madonna make good music but they aren't exactly "rockers". I just really hope George and the Boys get inducted someday, they 100% deserve it!
