I feel like BSS are better contenders than most think. Beyond just being critical darlings (Pitchfork just called them one of the most important acts of the 21st century) that performed well commercially, BSS, unlike a number of other indie acts, also gives the hall the ability to induct an large chunk of the most popular independent musicians of its era. You end up repping not only BSS but Feist, key members of Metric, Stars, possibly Death From Above 1979, Sam Roberts, Danko Jones with one act. That's a lot of big names from the 2000s and 2010s indie and canadian rock scenes. Posted by Mat r on Sunday, 03/13/2022 @ 21:01pm |
