8 comments so far (post your own) I would say NO RRHOF to Anthrax. Don't think they ever captured the world like Metallica did with their music. They had a few good songs but never could smash through. Posted by KING on Wednesday, 01/29/2014 @ 15:45pm |
Anthrax probably is a good reason the RRHOF Committee waits 25 years for the 1st time eligibles. They were remembered in the late 80's and early 90's mostly with the Among The Living album. I don't think their music captured people like Def Leppard, Metallica, or Nirvana did. 2 of these bands are already in the RRHOF and Def Leppard could be nominated this year. Anthrax is a good band but the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame will be a difficult climb. Don't see many Anthrax T-shirts any more or hear their records played. I would like to see Grant Lee Buffalo and Smashing Pumpkins inducted. KING Posted by KING on Monday, 07/9/2018 @ 04:16am |
With Black Sabbath, Metallica, Public Enemy, and other certain names in the Hall of Fame, I actually think those guys increased the chances of Anthrax to get an induction. We just need these acts to get in much as possible until it’s enough for them first: Posted by The Dude on Monday, 07/9/2018 @ 10:28am |
“Run DMC’s Aerosmith team-up Walk This Way certainly comes to mind, as does the Chuck D featured Anthrax reinterpretation Bring The Noise. No matter the provenance, however, these tracks very clearly offered young listeners permission to reconcile their interests in both worlds, setting the stage for the rap metal of the 1990s.” Posted by The Dude on Friday, 03/1/2019 @ 21:34pm |

I don't think Soundgarden is 'metal', KING. They are more hard rock/grunge. Same for Alice in Chains. Posted by Paul in KY on Thursday, 10/31/2019 @ 14:01pm |
What is this, an Anthrax news feed? Not the place for all that. Posted by zmbdog on Saturday, 10/31/2020 @ 00:44am |
