Probably should be. One of the earliest and one of the more successful crossover R&B groups of '54 and '55, going into '56. Doubt it'll be anytime soon though.

of course they should have been in.heart's made of stone was no.1 for 9 weeks, strong.they set a mark for the other groups.why would a lot of the groups cover them if they were not so hot.some groups made a name off of the charms covering them.historians wake-up people.

i saw otis in cincinnati oct.9-10 could not believe his voice is still there, great show.i ask him why they were not in the r&r hall.otis a super nice guy just smiled and said,we don't vote.i think somebody missed the boat but it was not the charms.what a shame.

I can't understand why they were overlooked and have not already been inducted. However there is no time like the present to right the wrong. They are still performing and are fabulous! THey sound the same and Otis's voice is even better.

i just found your site.i think it's a shame this group is not in the hall of fame.there are groups in that don't touch them in importance to music, early on someone missed the boat.

there is no reason for the charms not to be in the hall of fame.go take a look at the record and what they did.(open the door richard, richard why don't you open that door.
