If Nine Inch Nails gets in, it'll only be a matter of time . . .

When I moved to Chicago in the early 1980s adn Wax Trax Records was in its hey day, there was no more important indi label or band than Ministry. We lived at Wax Trax Record Store, my ears were opened for the forst time, my mind blown. MINISTRY's debut LP, WITH SYMPATHY is among my top 1,500 albums of all time, which is saying something. They moved to a more aggressive Industrial sound and songs like ALL DAY and EVERYTDAY'S HALLOWEEN found a new audience. If the band fits, you must admit.

In order for Ministry to get an induction, you need these bands first, which should be largely enough for support. They originally started off as a gothic/new wave band before they converted to Industrial with a metal twist.

Nine Inch Nails
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Motley Crue
Scorpions
Motörhead
Pantera
Slayer
Anthrax
Megadeth
Alice In Chains
Soundgarden
Stone Temple Pilots
Depeche Mode
Rage Against The Machine
Jane’s Addiction
The Offspring
Duran Duran
INXS
B-52’s
Devo
Tears For Fears
Smashing Pumpkins
Eurythmics
Joy Division/New Order
Kraftwerk

Dude, not sure if they are Hallworthy or not, but 'Jesus Built My Hotrod' is one badass song! Should be an essential song.

Happy Holidays to you!

@ Paul

They’re actually Hall worthy on my book. One of the most influential and unique Industrial bands of all time.

There was a seven year period from about Twitch to Psalm 69 where Jorgenson and Barker were incredibly prolific. They recorded a dozen side projects, most notably Revolting Cocks and Lard. For about 6 months they were the hottest band on the planet, and Al's longevity speaks for itself. I think the Jorgenson Barker Rieflin Connolly lineup is hall-worthy.

NIN this year.
Still no Ministry.
Shows the true validity (none) of the "honor" of being inducted.

Besides being one of the most influential bands of the past 40 years, Ministry has always been one of the best live acts around and they sing about a little more than break-ups, tears and cheating spouses... This is the Hall of pop. We need a Hall of the greatest music ARTISTS...
