Will Jack White be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
"Musical excellence is the essential qualification for induction."

I know it's way too early to be drawing this comparison, but would it really be that much of a stretch to compare Jack White to Eric Clapton? We've seen a bulk of their great work come from their early projects (White Stripes v. Cream). Then we have the period of excellent short term groups (Raconteurs v. Blind Faith/Derek and the Dominos). Finally they branched into their solo careers (and Jack's is looking to be damn good with his first album). Now I know that Clapton's talent and catalogue is far superior to Jack's, but could we start calling Jack White the modern Clapton?

Not to mention Clapton's work with Mayall's Bluesbreakers and the Yardbirds.

He will get in either as a solo artist or as the White Stripes. But not both.

Jack White? Hell YES he should be inducted, and I don't think it's fair that he's eligible in 2037. I mean... come on. He should be put in at least in the next 5 years.

Saw Mr. White headline at Bonnaroo Saturday night. Came out with a 7 or 8 piece backing band Had a female violinist who was badass. jack himself can really twist the strings. He didn't play many songs I was familiar with, during the time I was there. I saw a good 80 minutes before I headed out to see the Flaming Lips. Heard from others that he played for another 45 minutes after his scheduled end time. He was very well received by crowd. He's a big guy & sorta unusual looking with his pale skin & black hair. Could play a vampire easy peasy. Think I will catch him at Forecastle.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
