IGNORE the O.C. endorsement. This band has done quite a bit to bring indie music into the mainstream. They could get in.

Note the name of the place...ROCK AND ROLL Hall of Fame. DCFC is not rock and roll. This Indie sh-t has no place in the Hall.

"This Indie sh-t has no place in the Hall."

That's a fucking feebleminded thing to say. "Indie" encompasses such a wide scan of artists that you've just proposed wiping out nearly 80% of the worthiest pool of talent.
That's brilliant. Another retarded cry of, "That ain't rock!"

"Indie" just refers to label status. Basically if you're not signed to a major label, you're indie. It's not a sound.

That said, I don't think you have to worry about these guys getting in.

I had no real bone to pick with this lot, until they did that piss take cover of 'I Wanna Be Adored'

These guys are good & relatively intelligent in terms of the formation of their songs. I would say they deserve to be in.

Even though I'm getting sick & tired of hearing "I will possess your heart", their breakthrough into the commercial ranks has changed everything. This is exactly what the crowd on the nomination committee for this Hall looks for. They used to be an indie act w/ no hope at all, if they even thought about it. No doubt their next recordings w/ be scrutinized.

I think they are underrated, despite all the acclaim a couple of their albums have gotten. Ben writes gorgeous lyrics yet rarely gets any credit for it. It is sort of difficult to see them as "rock legends" but they are definitely a good band.

No relevance in the music industry.

And look at the class they're inducted with, that alone should tell you the band sucks.

I believe Death Cab has a chance, they inducted Parliament into it, and they are a Funk Band. Is that Rock and Roll? Also Run DMC, not saying I don't like either of those bands, I actually love their music. But its not Rock and Roll. Michael Jackson, King of Pop....not Rock.....still he was inducted. Therefore they have a chance.

Death Cab and Ben Gibbard's side projects/solo work is plenty to get them in. By the way, the Beatles were an Indie band...but you're right, that's not rock...really?

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
