John Hiatt is the most underrated songwriter in American music history. And with all of the wonderful artists who have covered his songs, his originals are invariably better. I said 15 years ago that I was boycotting the R&RHOF until they have the good sense to enshrine him. And yet, he doesn't even make the "most snubbed" list. It's criminal.
