RIP Bob Crewe

Indeed a sad day for us Seasonologists. If any good can come of it, hopefully this will get him a posthumous Ahmet Ertegun Award induction for 2015.

RIP Bob Crewe

RIP Don Ciccone. He was one of the Four Seasons in the mid to late '70s when they made their comeback. He was one of the three lead voices on "December 1963 (Oh What A Night)", and was also a member of the Critters (who don't yet have a page here).

RIP Don

Why wasn't Ciccone inducted?

Does anyone have a link to the news? I'm having trouble finding it.

dmg, we found out from Lee Shapiro's Facebook page. Lee Shapiro is another '70s Season that was not inducted, and friend to Don Ciccone.

Saw Frankie Valli and the new Four Seasons perform last night. It was one heck of a show. Didn't realize Valli was 83! Needless to say, he didn't show it one bit. When he spoke in between songs, he kind of sounded like Joe Pesci but when he sang, it was just like how he sounded on the recordings. It would have been cool had at least one of the original 4 Seasons were on stage, but Valli stole the show. Always great to see a living legend, especially one who has influenced so many.

R.I.P. Demetri Callas, not inducted, but was in the group from '72-'75, when the group was part of the Motown family.

R.I.P. Tommy. Thank you for everything.

Can anyone confirm that Tommy is in fact the first RnRHoF'er to die of COVID-related causes? Not that it matters, but I wonder if the Hall will make a statement, or make a notation in the In Memoriam segment.

R.I.P. Joseph LaBracio, aka Joe Long

He was Nick Massi's permanent replacement on bass. He was a member from "Opus 17 (Don't You Worry 'Bout Me)" through the Who Loves You album, which includes some of their absolutely best songs. He was criminally omitted from the induction in 1990, despite Frankie Valli pleading with the Hall to include him. I met Joe at a convention of Four Seasons fans in North Carolina... over a decade ago. He and Demetrius Callas, who died last year are the two members I've had the pleasure of meeting. Wonderful man, wonderful musician, should have been included in the induction. Maybe the Hall can quietly sneak his name on the plaque too.

So sad to hear of the passing of Joe Long. One of the greatest bass players snd a very important member of the band known as the Four Seasons. Condolences to the Long Family and Rest In Peace Joe Long.

The Four Seasons are one of the best bands of American origin and Joe Long has earned his place to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.
