Professor Longhair possessed stellar piano-playing skills and a hoarse, but refined voice. Along with Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Dr. John, and Fats Domino, he is among the greatest exponents of New Orleans-originated music. There's a sense of fun in 'Fess's music, and I'm glad he was inducted as an Early Influence. Posted by Zach on Friday, 11/8/2013 @ 13:07pm |
