So far a one-hit wonder. If she did something else, maybe. But having one popular song just doesn't do it for me.

Saw this lady last weekend at the 1st Homecoming Festival at Smale Park on banks of Ohio River. Nicer venue than where Shaky Knees is, IMO. Wasn't sure what to expect with her.

She came out in a bright red dress, with her electric guitar strapped on & proceeded to rip through a nice collection of her music. Not much banter as she kept the music coming.

Was very impressed with her guitar playing. Not as good as St. Vincent, but pretty damed good, I thought. Crowd loved her.

She did not play 1234. Ended set with 'I Feel It All' (which I think is better than 1234). I would like to see her again.

Feist would be an interesting case. She's kind of like a Warren Zevon type one massive hit but a deep discography worthy of attention. I think she's aided by "Metals," the follow up to "The Reminder" which has 1234, winning her the Polaris Music Prize, Canada's Mercury Prize.

Despite having only 1 gold album in the US, she has 3 platinum in Canada, and a gold and silver in the UK so she could have some international votes.

That said I think her better bet for the Hall is with Broken Social Scene, which inducts like a quarter of the indie rock super stars of the early 2000s.
