Salz und Pfeffer, Mariah, & PINK, Patsy Cline & Bjork. It's odd to me that Salt-N-Pepa hasn't been nominated already. They are an obvious lock with being female and melanated. Shocking that someone with the chart success of Mariah has been Kate Bushed. Now that we know is an all genre institution not inducting her is idiotic. A few people mentioned PINK! Please, please, please. She is just another Sheryl Crow. Crow doesnt belong in something that is about originality and innovation, nor does Alicia Moore. No, no, no. So many qualified women need to be put in before we even discuss her. Patsy Cline is deserving, few more deserving. Bjork needs to be inducted ASAP along with Salz und Pfeffer, Patsy Cline & Mariah Carey the work is now done for the women who will be inducted in 2025 the Hall of Fame can just listen to me and stop their waste of money.

I think a smart idea for the hall to make everything fit on time, would be to have the MC5 performance double as the in memorium. As well as limiting tribute performances to 1 or 2. The George Micheal segment of last year was extreme dead weight. Only doing careless whisper would have sufficed.

Elle dee I don't disagree. Alanis is a one album wonder of sorts and was pretty heavily criticised and mocked upon arrival despite sales. The two counters would be the reappraisal jagged little pill has over gone and Alanis having the "right" friends and allies (Madonna, Dave Grohl, Dave Matthews, Joan Jett, Flea)

Mat r I don't know why, but I have this feeling that Alanis will do much worse than Sinéad. I remember listening to an episode of immaletyoufinish… and Amy Linden mentioned that if Alanis gets on the ballot she won't vote for her because she thinks she's wack, going so far to say that her biggest claim to fame was singing about going down on a guy from Full House in a movie theater. Very harsh.

If I had to guess with Sinead I would guess she did ok but not borderline (probably ranked 11th or 12th). Guessing the hall moves on to bigger names for a bit like Tracy Chapman and Alanis Morissette and possibly Bjork, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, and Melissa Etheridge before bringing her back to a ballot. Chapman and Morrissette for sure feel next up. No idea who gets it.

Elle dee Yea I think there's a good chance they leave Sinead on the bench for a while. I will say I think the Jimmy Buffett induction signals that they will just induct older big or dead icons without the ballot going forward. I imagine Bette Midler, Cliff Richard, Roberta Flack types will just go straight in without a nod.

Spoilers: Devo, Tracy, JD/NO, Thin Lizzy, War Also don't expect me to post much stuff here for a while after this. I'll still be here, I just probably won't say anything. I've honestly gotten tired of Hall discussion here. This is mostly because, and I mean no offense to anyone, I feel like you guys have been saying the same old shit for a few years now and this year it feels like its gotten worse. I'll definitely be participating in this year's Projected season coming up, and I'll still join in on the Song and Album projects, and I'll probably post links to whatever poster or video I've made in the future, but otherwise don't expect to see much of me.

On the "get them in before they die" front, again the Monkees were shafted this year. Micky now has been the last surviving member of the group for 2 cycles. It's criminally stupid (no pun intended) that they've all but ignored the Monkees for decades.

Well, I don't know the full backstage stories on all of this large class of musicians; but of the ones I do, I'd say Boyd Tinsley, former member of Dave Matthews Band, definitely qualifies for consideration of "worst person", considering he was accused of sexual assault, harassment, and long-term grooming. He settled that out of court, but was sued again this year for violating the terms of that settlement.

Harry was amazing and his songs still are. He did every other concert for "the other guy" (donated proceeds) and "when in doubt, do something" was his favorite saying. He co-founded World Hunger Year before anyone else was doing it. He is in my hall of fame and he and the band should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Maybe the name should be changed because so many genres have already been inducted. So why not Harry?

"When in doubt, do something " My late brother turned me on the Harry in the 70's. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert 3 times. I remember where I was when I heard of his passing. I was going to see him a week later. His songs may have been too long for radio, but what he did in such a short life was more than most everyone. His songs were/are amazing. When I visit my brother's gravesite I play his music while I visit. He belongs in the HOF.
