After the tragedy in Houston, I wanted to mention that I was at Travis Scott set at Lolla in 2018. He played the 'headliner' spot on the #2 'Honda' stage there in Grant Park. I was way back on disabled viewing platform as the crowd got there early & was huge & I figured it would be a raucous crowd.

He was celebrating the release of an album that night & was pretty stoked about that. I can sum the set up by saying that you never knew what was going to happen from one minute to the next. He stopped set to let some dude up on stage who was going to propose to his GF there on stage...problem was they could not find the girl! Travis let this go on for about 9 minutes before she was located & deed was done. I couldn't believe he didn't kick him off stage after the GF wasn't right there. He only had 1 hour and he gave up 9 mins to this doofus! When he was playing the songs, you could see all the frenzied sign/flag waving & stuff being thrown up near stage.

The day after I was walking across that field to get to a portajohn & ran into EMTs coming in with their stuff & I asked them if they had been there for the set. The boss laughed & said it was crazy and that they pulled out 10 or more people from the crowd. I've been to alot of sets and that one ranked right up there with a Lamb of God set and a Turnstile set for whackiest ones I've been at in my career (and I was not in the scrum).

My condolences to all who died & were injured. I have been in that squeezing situation and it can be very scary.
