rip DICKY Dodd

was a native of Hermosa Beach, California, and joined the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club at the age of nine in 1955, its first season.[3][4] He was a member of the cast for three seasons, and during that time, paid Annette Funicello $20 for a snare drum, which the father of one of his co-stars (Cubby O'Brien) taught him to play.[4] He was later a member of two surf rock bands, The Bel-Airs and Eddie & the Showmen, which he formed with Eddie Bertrand.[5] He appeared as a dancer in the 1963 film musical Bye Bye Birdie, and had television guest roles in the 1960s.[3][5]
