Sparks are an act that simply cannot be duplicated.
Unique would be an understatement.
Always had a very good grasp of the English language and used it to full advantage in their lyrics.
Depeche Mode and New Order were some bands that Sparks greatly influenced. "Number 1 in Heaven" is credited with shaping the direction of electronic-pop music in the early 80's.
Still going as of today and as always never afraid to take chances.

WOW. 20 albums strong and another one coming out this year. AH to be so disliked by the critics and the media but so loved by their fans.

Ron and Russell Mael decided to celebrate the release of Sparks' 21st album, "Exotic Creatures of the Deep," by performing 21 concerts, each devoted to an entire album from their long and eclectic career. Each show has been a gem, and a fresh reminder of just how talented, innovative and versatile these guys remain after all these years. Unquestionably the most underappreciated band in rock history, Sparks definitely should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Absolutely legendary group, Sparks. Probably the absolute best glam had to offer (really, what's touching 'Kimono My House' from glam? Ziggy Stardust sure ain't), and yet they excel at pretty much everything they've done, aside from their watery '80s recording. Hell, their recent albums are absolutely excellent aswell.
Too good for the HoF, frankly; the size of their impact is enough to push them into the top-20 snubs at LEAST.

Holy Sh*t! For once I have to be in agreement with Liam. The world surely must be coming to an end.

Minor correction: They were just "Sparks," that is, without the definitive article ("the")

"Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth" is brilliant
