Their take on "Heard it through the Grapevine" just might be my favorite cover ever.

God yes. The influence and innovation is there in spades. "Cut" is a brilliant album. They had one of the great band names in rock (nay, music) history. Hugely important in the scheme of things (punk/alternative/underground). They *should* be in like Flynt.

Also, they (along with Siouxsie and the Banshees) were one of Zappa's favourite bands, which says something.

Rock Hall hates on the ladies a little bit in my opinion. Cut is one of the great albums of the first wave of punk and isn't recognized as such often enough. Ping Pong Affair, So Tough, and Instant Hit are classics with an honest feminine perspective much lacking in rock and roll...and in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I'm willing to bet that all 800 members of Pussy Riot own at least one Slits record.

Grow a pair, Putin. Turn them loose.

FRL doesn't have a page for the Raincoats? Bad form.

Not sure if they're hall worthy, but Cut is a hell of an album. Anyone who hasn't should listen to their Peel session, it's raw as hell.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
