Chicago samples New York, New York by The Last Poets on their rap-rock song "Sleeping In The Middle of The Bed" from their long-lost album Stone of Sisyphus, which was finally released back in June.

Given how much modern hip-hop is drivel, I'm not sure these guys would want recognition in a Hip-Hop Hall of Fame, if they ever made one.

Though the Rock Hall might give it to them just for their being so radical.

Chicago samples New York, New York by The Last Poets (suggested by producer Peter Wolf) on Robert Lamm's Rock/Rap song, Sleeping In The Middle Of The Bed from Chicago XXXII: The Stone of Sisyphus, the lost Chicago album from 1992, which was finally released in 2008, and mentioned in the book, The Greatest Music Never Sold.
