I agree with everyone else. If there had been no Suzi Quatro, there would be no Runaways, Joan Jett, Pink, or any other female rocker. The Bangles and the Go-Go's might never have existed, either. She may not have been as famous here, but Quatro's influence is more than obvious. Induct her!

She was the first credible female hard rocker, even before Joan Jett. She definitely deserves a plaque in that museum in Cleveland. Her chances of getting in are decreased by the fact that she was largely ignored in her native USA--- except when she played Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days.

All I can say is she is LONG OVER DUE! Hopefully they will wake up and give Suzi the credit and recognition she deserves! She should have been inducted a long time ago.

I don't understand why Suzi Quatro hasn't been inducted yet. She kicked down the door for other female rockers. Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde, Cherie Curie etc have all cited her as a major influence. Joan was just inducted...why not her idol? It's high time you considered her. Suzi has been rocking for over 50 years now and is still going strong. Come on, induct her already.

she has contributed so much to rock music and is affectionately known as the queen of rock. It's a crime that suzi has been overlooked. She is one of the few living legends. Paul East

I'm bewildered as to WHY it's not happened already! Get your act together R & R Hall. Where would Joan Jett & MANY others be, if not for Suzi paving the way for other women of rock?

Put her in the hall. Been making great music for 50 years.

Suzi was a pioneer in rock music. First lady to pick up an instrument and front a rock band. An inspiration to so many women after her( ex. Joan Jett, pat benatar, ect.) Sold over 50 million records worldwide, and still rocking today.
Suzi Quarto belongs in the Rock'nRoll Hall of Fame.

Suzi,is long over due for this honor!! She should have been put in The Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame a very very long time ago!! If it wasn't for her, there would have been no Girl Bands, especially The Runaways, the Donnas,No Joan Jett,Cherie Curri, and I can just keep going forever,Suzi is the real deal, she broke down so many barriers for women, you need to put the original Leather One in The Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame,Please!!! She is still going strong after 50 years of being in the business, and she is still kicking it on stage!!!!

Suzi was and still is a Michigander at heart. She was given an offer to go to England and have her own band using her given name as well as another offer from a producer her in the states wanting to make her the next Joplin. She made the correct choice unfortunately she was not promoted in her home country. She should have been in the hall of fame long ago. I listened to the speaker for Joan Jett and am ashamed as to how this talented young lady has turned out. But Suzi has held true to Suzi after all these years. She continues to make new music and gigs throughout the year. Rumor has it that there is talk of her bringing her one woman show to Broadway. I have traveled to the UK and Germany to see her preform and it was worth every penny. She is the same today as she was in the 1970's. No need to change perfection. It is pass time for her to have her spot in the hall of fame.

Without Suzi Quatro, the HOF is a travesty.

Suzi Quatro, the very first female Rock Singer. She is the originalone! with no Suzi Quatro is worthy to be in the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame! If Joan Jett has been inducted into, Suzi Quatro should have been there far before!

Put Suzi quatro int the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame!
She has been worthy to be there for years aleready! If Joan Jett has been there, why not Suzi Quatro?? Suzi was the first one and still is the original one. There were no Girls like her before. she opend the door for many other girl, Suzi Quatro was the hero for Joan, and now, the hero is not in the HoF...? Strange.....

Suzi Quatro was and still is very talented and I agree that the refusal of the selection snobs to even nominate her is just plain wrong. But while many are giving credit to Suzi for being the first rock-n-roll chick, we should remember that "Fanny" was not just a chick with a bass. It was a true BAND of rock-n-roll chicks! Check them out... you'll be glad ya did!

Bud, I just don't think Suzi has enough quality material to get into the Hall. She has a case, but not enough, IMO.

Posted by Paul in KY on Thursday, 02/14/2019 @ 07:02am

what are you talking about she had tons of quality material...songs like can the can, 48 crash, devil gate drive, your mama won't like me, the wild one, get back mama, the race is on, if you can't give me love, don't change my luck, Suicide, heart of stone, too big, and that's just a few....she belongs in R&R hall of fame.... SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INDUCTED YEARS AGO.

She definitely would be in the rrhof if it was legitimate. The problem is that it is not legitimate.
You have rap artists and watered down crap like radiohead. So even though she deserves to get in, I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

It's time to induct her! She's the first and the best!

Suzi Quatro has lasted the distance and continues to rock in 2021 . Suzi didn't get lucky . Suzi has earned her career and place. In Rock History . Any RRHOF without Suzi Quatro is like having a royal family with no Queen. I have been a fan for over 40 years and Suzi remains one of the few living legends .

Posted by Paul East on Monday, 01/4/2021 @ 05:32am

Suzi deserves R'R Induction more than most give her credit.... it is due!!!

Posted by Danie Schoeman on Friday, 04/9/2021 @ 19:43pm

She is definitely the definition of what a person or group needs to be to get inducted. Her contributions to Rock and Roll are far above many that have already been inducted. This needs to happen. ASAP, if not sooner as they say! She was definitely one of the main women pioneers of rock and roll of her time! Come on RHOF let's make this happen.

Quite frankly I am just amazed that she has not been inducted...... Suzi is the Queen of Rock!! I have looked at some of these lists, some of the suggestions for nomination are Pop not Rock'n'Roll!! Dolly, not Rock, but an absolute Queen for taking herself out of the race. I hope that Suzi gets her rightful place soon!! Long live the Queen of Rock!!!!

The Rock and Roll hall of fame is like the royal family without its queen …. It will never be complete until Suzi Quatro is inducted

I'm a scientist, and we make decisions based on facts, not because we feel like it. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is probably rolling the dice to find the next nominees. If they looked at the facts, like Suzi Quatro opened the door for EVERY WOMAN in rock music, they couldn't ignore her. She had endless hits and was not "made" a musician like so many others - she is a musician body and soul. If the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame doesn't induct Suzi, they lose the legitimacy of being an important institution. And furthermore: if they don't include Suzi, they ignore half of the world: us women.

My first message I left on this site was back in 2015 (8 years ago).

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will always be incomplete without Suzi Quatro inducted. Suzi has been rocking for over 50 years and in 2023 will be the 50th Anniversary of "Can he Can " her first hit single which reached Number 1 world wide.
Suzi has sold over 55 Million albums and continues to tour at 73 year old. Both Joan Jet and the Runaways were heavily influenced by Suzi Quatro who showed them women could rock and front a band and play an instrument at the same time. It is hard not to believe this is just one big rock and roll snub by not inducting Suzi Quatro who was eligible to be inducted from 1999 (24 years ago) .

Currently the RRHOF is like the Royal Family without a Queen :(

I only live 30 miles from the rock hall. (Notice no caps). I have only been there once and that was when it first opened. I will never go again until Suzi Quatro is inducted. People talk about her influence on the women that came after her, but she also was a major influence on many of the male rockers that were just getting started. Her stage presence was amazing. It's unbelievable to me that Suzi isn't in and Joan Jett is. For that matter the Runaways should have been in long ago as well.

I was called Suzi Quatro back then.

Seriously, what a joke. R and r hall of fame is totally irrelevant if they do not induct Suzi Q. The original.
