Should they? YES

Will they? NO

Would they accept in the very unlikely event they *were* voted in? PROBABLY NOT. And that would be historic. Has anyone, once voted in, ever refused induction? I don't think so. But it would be just like them.

Saw them live a few years ago. Wasn't expecting much but they were actually awesome! Get them in the Hall!

Absolutely should be in. Electronic pop music geniuses, super influential. Lots of hits. Their music ages really well. Excellent harmonies, dance music.

They do synth pop that was a genre that was born from post punk (rock subgenre) they were influenced by bowie, gary numan, etc (rock artists) and influenced several rock acts like the killers, pulp, etc, they had a huge success they deserve to enter

I believe that their history and trajectory speak for themselves. They are still going strong and producing quality, soulful music; that is, music that has depth and meaning in its lyrics and an elegant and complex sound, but which in the end results in songs that touch the heart and soul of those who listen, regardless of generation, because their songs are timeless.
And they've worked with great artists and become inspirations for others.
The Pet Shop Boys deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

SNL, no

London 2012 Olympics opening ceremonies, yes.

When it comes to international relevance, the two aren't even close.

They dance fo Disco and they don't like rock. So the answer is no they won't be in.

Hopefully they will get their due. However, I do not see their induction before 2030. But I think they eventually be inducted.
