King Diamond and his band Mercyful Fate are very important in metal history and they makes a ton of classic metal albums. Although they do not have chance to be inducted in rock hall, I still cherish their music very much.

I remember when I first heard King Diamond I thought to myself "What in the world is this" I'm not gonna lie I did not like King Diamond's music at first because I didn't understand it but after I listened to his performance of Sleepless Nights - Live at the Fillmore a couple more times it clicked I understood why the band wrote that song the way they did and as they say "the rest is history" right? I say that because after I finally understood why King Diamond did the song the way they did I became a huge fan of King Diamond so much so that I have a playlist of him with 21 songs not including btw the live performances which would total up to 46 songs on my playlist. Now as far as their legacy is concerned, King Diamond may not have flashy numbers but they have a vocalist who has influence, talent, as well as a sound that is unlike any other singer I have ever heard, and when I say influence that means something because he was nice a part of a group called Mercyful Fate which influenced Metallica in which obviously Metallica is considered to be the biggest Metal band of all time. King Diamond's vocalist is a part of that influence which is a big deal. His range is also incredible being able to hit notes that even Steven Tyler from Aerosmith peaks at not to mention the incredible songs and clear talent that not only Kim Peterson (King Diamond Singer) has but that the whole band has as a whole. Ladies and gentlemen, there is a reason why King Diamond is mostly being voted a yes here on this website because those who voted yes know exactly what I am talking about. Regardless of religion by the way (I don't agree with the religion) I still think Kim Peterson/King Diamond singer should be respected and should be regarded as one of the absolute greatest singers in all of metal and his band is one of the best to have ever graced the stage. I could go on and on but I won't Basically the point is when you have that much influence and when you perform that great live and have had that kind of longevity it's clear to me that King Diamond's without a doubt a Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Band no matter how you slice it. By the way I have a Spotify account you can go check out my Spotify playlist with of course King Diamond being one of them I hope you enjoyed these comments.
