Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland wrote and produced some of the quintessential Motown songs like "Stop In the Name of Love" for The Supremes, "Heat Wave" for Martha & The Vandellas, "Baby I Need Your Loving" for The Four Tops and "Can I Get A Witness" for Marvin Gaye, but these songs are only the tip of the musical iceberg, as they're 10 year output at Motown is concerned.

The behind-the-scenes roles Holland, Dozier & Holland played as producers and songwriters were as responsible for Motown's success as the performers were.
