Whatever year they become eligible they one million percent definitely deserve to be in there from a musicianship point of view they are as good as any other band out there. They have stood the test of time fact (they can still sell our venues of a few thousand capacity worldwide), sold 20 million odd albums under their own record label (an achievement in itself no help from any big record company) and they are amazing role models and family people. Whenever eligible one million percent deserve to be in. Posted by Philip Burgwin on Wednesday, 05/6/2020 @ 06:34am |
Yes!! They deserve it and are underrated. Go listen to String Theory now! <3 Posted by Shauna on Saturday, 06/13/2020 @ 16:23pm |
First album was in 1995. Posted by Garrus on Monday, 10/12/2020 @ 01:54am |
The music writing and producing of their music is up their with the best. They write all of their own. That's says a lot and play their own instruments. They should be 1st time ballot nominees Posted by Misty on Wednesday, 03/24/2021 @ 16:17pm |
Don't look now, but they're about to be eligible. Damn, I feel old. Posted by Joe S. on Monday, 10/25/2021 @ 15:55pm |
I think Hanson should be nominated next year because of how they basically re-invented independent/self-released music in 2003. It was a big deal for them to leave the luxuries of a major label. And they did it because they love the music that much. I wish other bands had had the sense to leave major labels but chose to sell out instead. Anyone saying Hanson doesn't deserve this is an ignorant mouth breather and clearly hasn't listened to anything but MMMbop which is still a great and very deep song by the way. What this band achieved at their young ages hasn't been done since likes of the Jackson Five and they are making music to this day that only gets better and better. So go Hanson, they deserve to be in the Hall and I know they will be one day because people with actual musical knowledge (and not ignorant trolls) can recognize their talent and genius Posted by Alaina S. on Wednesday, 06/22/2022 @ 18:38pm |
When people are open-minded enough to appreciate music for MUSIC, only then will Hanson get the recognition they deserve. Posted by Tara on Wednesday, 06/22/2022 @ 19:11pm |
If you haven't listened to Hanson during the past 25 years, don't even give an opinion. Be open minded and check out all that they have done. Posted by Bailey on Wednesday, 06/22/2022 @ 19:17pm |
Sold out shows and huge crowds already on their RGB WORLD Tour... try looking up anything post 2000, especially the last 5 years and give it a chance, you might be surprised. Mmmbop started it all, but it isn't where any of us are stuck on. Posted by Madelynn51785 on Thursday, 06/23/2022 @ 08:13am |
Yes, most people know them only from MMMBop but if you really know them, you know that they write their own songs, play their own instruments, organize and produce their albums and have influenced the indie scene ever since they went indie in 2003. Listen to any of their music within the last 5-7 years and you can see that it is different from MMMBop. How could they not be in consideration for this honor?
