Guy Mitchell (real name Albert George Cernik, born in Detroit to Croatian immigrants) made it all the way to #1 on the Billboard charts (both in the U.S. and U.K.) in 1956 with "Singing the Blues" (written by Melvin Endsley and should be in the song project).
