If they continue with their creativity and have an "Outkast" year, I can see them getting in 20 years down the road.
By the way: does anyone else think that 20 years out sounds more reasonable than 25? It'd sure be nice to hope most bands are still alive and together when they are inducted. Isn't 2 decades long enough to judge historical merit?

Actually, I think 25 years is too short because too many active groups are getting in before their true influence is known, ie. REM.
As for Gnarls Barkley, it's too early to tell. If they can have a few more albums that do as well as St. Elsewhere, then who knows?

How is REM's true influence not known yet? They were probably the single biggest force in the 80s.

Why-oh-why didn't basketball legend and frequent strip club customer Charles Barkley stop these guys from naming this group the way they did. Have you all heard of a grunge/alternative band called Pearl Jam? They used to be called "Mookie Blaylock", after a basketball player. The record company (SONY), probably, made them change their name to Pearl Jam.
