These guys had a lot of hits, right? Some of them were pretty good, if I recall. Kinda rockin too, at least a little. Didn't they sell a lot of records, have a lot of fans, etc.? Maybe they should be considered.

Oh, and they have for sure had an influence on rock. Ok GO, Fountains of Wayne - they seem to have spawned that style.

Now that's not necessarily a *good* thing, but take it for what it is. I think Everclear is cool.

Third post in a row? My bad. But I couldn't believe I omitted Eve 6 from the list of their followers. Eve 6 was pretty good too. Inside Out? Classic.

I would love for these guys to make it in... I'm not going to say the re-invented rock and roll, or anything like that, but, as has been said, they HAVE spawned a particular pop-punky style that continued on with Eve 6, etc. So, by perpetuation rock, amongst their other notations, I think Everclear should make it in.

I like Everclear. I really do.

But I'm willing to acknowledge that they're not, technically speaking, a "good" band.

They're the guilty pleasure of 90s alt rock, basically.

I really like their song 'AM Radio' (plus a few more). Good band, not really Hall worthy, IMO.

This might surprise some of you. Always liked this group. Kind of derivative... not very groundbreaking... but 'Sparkle and Fade' and 'So Much for the Afterglow' were very good, hook-laden albums. Kind of like if Power Pop mated with Grunge.

Ya know Chalkie, even though I'm not a fan of most post-Seattle 90s American rock, I actually agree with you. I think they were really one of the shining lights there for a couple years. Good songwriting.

Some good music here, and quite a few recognizable hits. They managed to walk the line between catchy and heavy. I think they could've had a longer career had the 2000s been a more successful decade for mainstream rock. As it stands, they don't deserve it.

Alternative band with real life lyrics from Central Florida like me.

Everclear is one of those bands that, even if they have their own sound - all of their songs had the same formula. To put it short, they all sounded the same. Not HOF-worthy, imo
