I tried listening to these polesmokers once but the CD made my cd player throw up and curl up whimpering in the corner as if it had been sexually assaulted.
That is how vile and repulsive the sounds wafting from that disc were.
I would rather listen to Rosanne Barr rap the National Anthem while Psy pleasures a parapalegic penguin with his nose than listen to any more of this contemptable swill.
Like this crapola doesn't make you a hipster...it makes you a shitsuckingbuttsniffingcockfacedjackass

..anyone see the live videos of 'with a hip','do it clean' and 'never stop'?..my favorite song being 'silver' from ocean rain. This was pre grunge..anyone old enough to remember..oh were we jamming to this..what came after who knows?..tell me they aren't worthy.

They absolutely belong in the rock hall. Below is a post on my Echo and the Bunnymen to the Rock Hall FB page explaining what I believe to be wrong with the Rock Hall's selection process and my reasons for E&TB inclusion. Please like my page if you're a fan.

In short, yes they belong in the HoF. As one of the most influential bands in post-punk Britain the Bunnymen released critically acclaimed records such as Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Ocean Rain, Evergreen, What Are You Going To Do With Your Life, and in some circles Siberia, as well as Flowers.

Had they better management, they would be mentioned with media darlings Joy Division and The Smiths, and would have/could have rivaled U2—emphasis on could/would.

Are they influential? They did receive an English Award for most influential band in the last 25 years don't recall when—maybe 2005) and more recently their lead singer, Ian McCulloch, received a rock n roll icon award.

They would get my vote and so would Siouxsie and the Banshees. Both were outsiders, so to say.

And, I happen to like Rush;-)

An integral part of my musical awakening ! Depth of character in an evolving style of sound that has grown with me and stood the test of time. They continue to be as crisp as ever live and I try to attend every show in T.
Even my teenage son has come to appreciate their work.
HoF soon!!

I think they'll get in one day but it could take a decade or so.

Echo and the Bunnymen are icons for the Modern Gothic genre of the genX generation. I put them in the same level of greatness musicly as ; The Cure, Depeche Mode, Icicle Works ,The Smiths & New Order.

Echo and the Bunnymen absolutely belong in the Rock and roll Hall of fame! They have four critical and classic albums that are like no other in rock history. They have haunting sounds, lyrics and are quintessential postpunk and neopsychedelia, which for some reason is largely ignored by the Rock and roll Hall of Fame.

I'd be surprised if they ever made it in, but you never know. Mostly it tends to be American and Billboard controlled. This band has quite a following but generally you don't want the HOF too far past the bands prime. They are more known in the UK, and while touring everywhere haven't ever captured mainstream music.

I think the band is delightful
