Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.....no questions asked. If they can induct ABBA....then inducting Doug and Augie is a no brainer.

Saw the Doug Sahm link. Had no idea this person even existed. If people I have no idea even existed make the RnRHOF, it should be shut down. Oh wait, Laura Nyro is already in isn't she...go ahead and shut it down now.

Doug Sahm AND the Sir Douglas Quintet should have been shoo-ins years ago. The fact that he's been overlooked says a lot more about the Hall of Fame than it does about Doug.

Mastered rock, blues, country, and Tejano music, Doug's variety of styles may be his largest hindrance. Although yes, he should be included...even though the Rock Hall is about as "Rock" as the House of Blues is"Blues."

Considering the wide range of music that Doug Sahm recorded for over 50 years and the influence he had on other musicians (Bottle Rockets and Jay Farrar), it is gross musical malpractice that he has not been enshrined in Cleveland. Shame on the voters,
