Good band, but very derivative of earlier bands such as The Beatles and R.E.M. I don't think they'll ever be even considered for hall of fame, let alone inducted.

Del Amitri's brand of polished 90s pop/soft rock is blander than a dry saltine cracker. No chance they'll be considered, and deservedly so.

If you like Jacob Dylan and the wallflowers you should love Del Amitri. With nearly the same sound but Around for a decade longer, their well written polished alt rock songs are catchy and Four of their albums generated more than a dozen hits. And those albums had more great songs than the 17 that made their greatest hits. Somehow the wallflowers show as having a better chance of getting into the hall of fame. Del Amitri is back on tour and have a new album. I now have to rediscover them as radio seems to have forgotten all but their top five. Hatful of rain or collection, their greatest hits albums are a good place to start. And they play Cleveland 4/24/2022.

Quite honestly, I think you're overrating them. I think The Wallflowers are MUCH better than Del Amitri.
