Chris Brown was completely endorsed by Michael Jackson. I am bringing up MJ because people have already made a comparison. Chris Brown is no different (and I am using that cautiously) than MJ was when he borrowed from James Brown. However, I do admit that there are two Chris Browns. One Chris Brown goes for pop and dances and sings really hot music that all people can listen to; hence, Forever, Fine China, Beautiful People, All Back, Turn Up the Music, and With You. At other times he sings very adult themed, profanity laced music. Unlike a Janet Jackson or Prince, he can basically put you in an adult movie scenario in your head or rap you into "Lil Wayne" cussing like frenzy. I feel he needs to somehow channel his music to a workable package and I feel that it can be done. There were so many MJ inspired artists that did not even come close to what Brown did whom MJ never endorsed:
Ginuwine, Sisqo, and Omarion to name a few. Thus, I think if given time and with the right songs, Chris Brown has several few years left to create some quality hits and music.

Chris Brown is what happens when Usher and Jason Derulo have a child, and then drop them on their head from the top of a four story building. His music is generic, and his vocals are decent but nothing special. Ill give him props for being one hell of a dancer but hes a musician first and fore most so lets judge him based on that.

Now, whether or not you believe he is a crappy human (despite the fact that he near beat Rihanna to death, and then kept beating woman after!) is irrelevant to the fact that he has no place even being thought of as a nominee for the hall of fame.

Please name one song or album of his that is still listened to today.

Chris Brown is a versatile artist, and has songs out in R&B, Rap, House, Bachata, etc., he can sing in English and Spanish. He has a beautiful voice, and my reply in this response is to the first comment in the beginning. Chris Brown puts out so much music that hasn't been officially released on albums that it's mind blowing. He has so many features, and they're all successful. If you can't see all of these artistic qualities that highlight why he is an artist that embodies the culture of the modern man, then you fail to see the beauty in what the modern man is & what hurdles he must take to succeed in a judgmental/condemning society

Chris Brown is only known for abusing Rihanna so I don't think he would make it into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Like Motley Crue, he is probably in the "banned for life" category. Besides, Motley Crue has a far better chance at eventually getting inducted than Fist Brown. Keep this douchebag out.

Chris brown is one of the best live performers of his generation, no doubt about it. He has entertained with his music and dance for two decades. He has brought creativity, memorable song hits and inspiration for the next music generations. He patterned style after Micheal Jackson, James Brown, Donny Hathaway & Usher but he will remembered as the legendary singer and dancer Chris Brown. Chris brown should be inducted at some point, hopeful in the next 5 years.

Chris Brown is one of the greatest. It's a shame that people keep judging him on something that happened 10+ years ago. It's funny because the same ones condemning him probably has done or has someone in their family who has done even worse. AND you are probably a " P*SSY GRABBING, MESSING WITH UNDERAGE WOMEN, BIGOT/RACIST ASS TRUMP SUPPORTER!!! If the victim (Rihanna) can forgive him why can't society…
