Blake Shelton was just named People's Magazine 2017 Sexiest Man Alive.

That sound you hear is our collective hope for humanity. Curled up in the fetal position and sobbing.

Sounds like you don't really like the guy. If your comment is about the Sexiest Man Alive - there have been worse and I mean much worse selections. If it's about his music, from what I have read he does help his artist from the Voice after the show. Some have been charting on the Country charts. Given time to see how some of these artist do in the long run, he could end up being influential in this way.

Combo of the two. There are better selections they could have made for that title. As for his music, pop-country of the past 20 years has no business being venerated period. The CMAs should just be cancelled and the academy of county music dissolved at this point.

There are only a few selections that actually were reasonable, while the vast majority were completely laughable. Example: Adam Levine - under no circumstances is a winy petulant man sexy let alone the sexiest man.

Once you get to the 90's, most Country lost its edge that made it good. At that point it started becoming pop with a country flavor. In the 70's it dealt with some social issues that weren't talked about openly and that was part of what made it interesting. The other problem is a shift from working class to middle class perspective caused it to loose its fire.

Pseudo-redneck, and even the genuine article--not sexy.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
