Mitch Ryder should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame PERIOD!!!! In my opinion he has the best voice in RnR. He still sounds great live and he always has a kick ass band!

Roy, I'd have to guess that because when he was "considered," it was a very "Small Hall" mentality at the time... like that which caused all the Front Man fever that the special committee selections of 2012 began to rectify. So, at the time, trying to keep it small, they only considered Ryder, and not the whole band.

And in response to the earlier comment about "Godfather of Blue-eyed soul"? No. Just no. The Righteous Brothers predate Ryder by a few years, as do the Four Seasons, who were first thought to be Black when "Sherry" was first released. I think even the Young Rascals predate Mitch, at least in terms of breaking big. Get your facts straight.

Give R&R Hall of Fame some street cread...put Mitch and the Wheels in as well as "Detroit and Mitch Ryder". It's been way to long ....Mitch said he had too many enemies to get in...They should all be dead by now....Damn Mitch is 78! Do Rock and Roll justice.
