I certainly do not understand why Elvis Costello is in the hof. It must be for something other than his music because, Watching the Detectives, Allison and Everyday I Write the Book does not earn one the right to be inducted. Those are the only three songs that I've ever heard played on the radio and to be perfectly honest, none of them are really all that good. I don't have any animosity towards Elvis or a vendetta or anything like that but it is amazing to me that someone like him can be inducted and Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, ELO and Bad Company are yet to be inducted.

Elvis and the Roots' "Wise Up Ghost" is easily one of my favorite albums of the year. A highly recommended collaboration if you haven't heard it.

Joseph-I'm surprised Elvis Costello has been inducted as well. The RRHOF loves their singer- songwriters. First ballot like The Pretenders. No doubt Elvis Costello was a wordsmith & had a few good songs. I remember Alison & Veronica getting some airplay but you are right. He didn't have 30 or 40 Top 10 singles. Also, I was shocked The Pretenders & REM were 1st ballots. There seems no rhyme nor reason to RRHOF inductions when Chicago,Def Leppard, Duran Duran, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Moody Blues etc. haven't been inducted. KING

Dude he had a 12 year run of perfect popular music albums that are completely original. He is a unique and singular force in popular music and absolutely deserved immediate induction for. His newest album is great too.

Elvis is the Cole Porter of Rock N Roll. Enough said.
