The rock n roll hall of fame is a complete farce without the king of surf guitar in there. This man has influenced so many hall of famers its amazing. Yet the dumbasses at the hall of fame can't find their way to figure it out. Idiot's! Come on guys are you f!#king kidding me. Grow a pair and do the right thing. Make this man the immortal legend he truly is.

King of the Surf Guitar
"Misirlous" is the definitive surf rock song.

If they do induct him they should also induct the Del-Tones.

RIP Dick Dale

Should have been in years ago and probably before The Ventures.

RIP Dick Dale. I'll echo the general sentiment that it is a crime he wasn't inducted decades ago. A pioneer of a genre should almost by definition be in the Hall.

Great words Dezmond and Roy about Dick Dale RIP. I know a few of the FRL regulars had Dick Dale on their RRHOF Nominees List and /or a special award. Maybe,a Veteran's Music Committee to look at deserving artists 70+ years or older would be wise and warranted. Gordon Lighfoot and Willie Nelson are 2 artists I think should be inducted. Both are getting very old now. Emmy Lou Harris is another. She is well-loved and respected by so many music artists and fans. Chubby Checker has been very vocal about receiving a living induction. They inducted The Twist I think. He's also very old now. I still can't believe Willie Nelson has not been inducted. Dick Dale, Jan & Dean, and The Beach Boys were very important in the 60's surfer music and style that was very important to rock and roll and to its history. My guess 1 of the presenters or inducted artists will bring up Dick Dale in their speeches. There probably will be a few audible gasps in the crowd when they talk about Dick Dale and that he has not been inducted. It's great to have a forum here to champion and discuss deserving RRHOF artists. KING 👑

Pulp Fiction would not have been the same movie without him!

Sleep well, Dick Dale.

How can this Rock and Roll LEGEND not be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?!?! He was the leading innovator of LOUD amplification based on his work with Leo Fender. Fender even named the amplifier the SHOWMAN, after Dick Dale. Dick Dale recorded and played every style of music since 1955. His career spanned 65 years and influenced thousands of famous guitar players! There can be NO Rock and Roll Hall of Fame without Dick Dale!! He should be in there right alongside Chuck Berry!

Surf rock pioneer. Dale should be inducted but he might be inducted as an Early Influence instead of under the Performers category.

Dick Dale unquestionably deserves induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his groundbreaking contributions to the genre and his profound influence on generations of musicians. Often referred to as the "King of Surf Guitar," Dale revolutionized rock music with his distinctive style, combining Middle Eastern and Eastern European musical elements with the energy of surf rock. His iconic hit "Misirlou," featured prominently in the film "Pulp Fiction," introduced audiences worldwide to his mesmerizing guitar technique and unleashed a new wave of enthusiasm for instrumental rock. Dale's lightning-fast picking, innovative use of guitar effects, and relentless onstage performances set a new standard for guitar virtuosity and inspired countless guitarists, including Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Moreover, Dale's relentless pursuit of sonic exploration and experimentation pushed the boundaries of rock music and laid the groundwork for future genres like heavy metal and punk rock. With his trailblazing guitar sound and his indomitable spirit, Dick Dale left an indelible mark on the rock and roll landscape, making his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a well-deserved recognition of his immense impact and lasting legacy.

I really can't believe Dick Dale....a man who inspired probably EVERY guitarist that is CURRENTLY in the RRHOF is not in there with other legends...but yet NWA,Donna Summer who in they're own rights are legendary...but RRHOF legendary????.....there are more deserving than who has entered there in the last few years.
