BC from the beginning was the hardest music artist that is not Heavy metal or influence by Heavy metal. BC is like messy, fuzzy (as in not clear and straight playing) and use lots of distortion that not other artists used and played hardest at it. BC along with others like AC/DC and Motorhead did not went downhill as getting old just like underground artists does not. BC played all kinds of feels on Rock music besides super soft and even did soft tracks. I know the lead singer lose his voice as the lead singer got older but it works for the lead singer and the older voice fits in the music. It is just a voice anyways. The second lead singer of AC/DC still sings well at the last album like the lead singer used too and the newer AC/DC music did not went downhill. I know artists like The Rolling Stones, The Who and Steppenwolf did Rock (as in the subgenre not the whole genre) harder though when BC did Rock music that is just Rock, BC did it the original way without going so soft. It was not just catchy like other Rock artists. BC can also do harder Rock when not doing Hard rock. The tracks Pilot, Fruit & Icebergs, Peace of Mind and the tracks from the album Live & Unreleased '68/'74 prove it. Posted by Blue Fuse on Tuesday, 08/14/2018 @ 03:54am |

Blue Cheer is very important to Rock music though and the Harder side of Rock music would not be the same without Blue Cheer. If The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, The Beach Boys, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Cream influence all of Rock, Led Zeppelin was the first/started Hard rock that is not the underground sound, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest was the ones that started the Heavy metal like feel, The Stooges and MC5 was the ones that started the Punk rock like feel, Motorhead was the first that started/made Heavy Metal and the same with Ramones with Punk rock and The Misfits with Horror Punk than that is proof how important Blue Cheer is too Rock music. It is just that Blue Cheer is not very known and the other later Rock artists did not went to be influence by Blue Cheer. The artists was still influence by Blue Cheer since their music would not be the same without Blue Cheer and from being influence by artists that are influence by Blue Cheer or artists from before. That is true since there would be notes different from other artists without Blue Cheer just like it would be without The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. That letter was to The Dude. I forgot to put that down on the letter before. I made a mistake there. Posted by Blue Fuse on Thursday, 08/30/2018 @ 16:57pm |
Think both 'The Hunter and 'Fool' are better songs than 'Summertime Blues'. Posted by Paul in KY on Friday, 08/31/2018 @ 09:13am |
People you should just click yes to going in even if you do not think Blue Cheer is going in since it can be a better chance on Blue Cheer going in and let The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame think people want it. People do like click on yes or no if they want something to go in. Posted by Blue Fuse on Sunday, 09/2/2018 @ 12:22pm |
Here is why I would say Blue Cheer is the best than I like all the music artists I like the best the same besides if the artist made a few releases since it is like one studio album but maybe another or two. BC is the most hardest/distortion Rock artist of the large Rock subgenre. The other larger Rock subgenres is not classic like Rock is, in a way and Rock has all the kinds of feels. Rock is on a party side. I know there is Heavy metal that is more different than Punk rock and Alternative rock though Heavy metal is just for being heavy. Punk rock is on a party side too, though it is not like Rock and Heavy metal is harder. Rock is the original way that all the others came from. Heavy metal is also on a fun side for like doing the horror side/stories. Posted by Blue Fuse on Tuesday, 06/4/2019 @ 04:15am |

There's no way I can put into words how much this band's first two records (VE and Outsideinside) mean to me and their influence on me, just like Black Sabbath's first 4, Buffalo's Volcanic Rock and Only Want You For Your Body , and Night Sun's Mournin' , specially the drumming of Paul Whaley, Bill Ward, Jimmy Economou and Ulrich Staudt. Yes , Blue Cheer really deserves to be on the Hall of Fame ,along the other aforementioned bands , and Leaf Hound too ,but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon , which isn't a loss at all , considering how much of a joke the Hall of Fame has become. Another great band that will never get inducted is Sir Lord Baltimore , Kingdom Come is a big influence on me and a lot of people , John Garner wasn't an amazing drummer , but there's always been something about his crazy , primitive drumming that has been very appealing and influential to me, plus he pioneered the drummer/singer combo in Metal and Hard Rock. Anyway, at least they've gained a very solid cult status in the late 2000s and onward , to the point of being overrated nowadays (even I have admit that it gets bit tiring at times seeing people immediately start ranting about Kingdom Come everytime the topic of early Metal pops up in a conversation) , but still , I think it's great ,since that kind of hype keeps them relevant to this day. All of these bands were key to the development of harder rock music in the 70s, Metal and heavier Hard Rock wouldn't be the same as we know it without the influence Cheer and the other bands I mentioned before , plus others too , but I'm listing the bands that are a big influence on me, without them , heavy music wouldn't have gotten past Cream and Hendrix, and for that alone, they deserve to be inducted and given more credit, Sabbath was already inducted years ago, which is great, but the others deserve the same. Blue Cheer's 1967 pre-release tour had them playing the under-billed band around the US alongside all the iconic rock bands and when they released Vincebus Eruptum in January of 68 their album pre-release sales sold more albums than most of those iconic bands!
